Corporate agent
A company, firm or bank registered to distribute insurance, as distinct from an individual agent.
A corporate agent is an entity rather than a person, registered with the regulator to distribute insurance. A composite corporate agent may hold arrangements across life, general and health insurers, within limits the regulations set.
Corporate agents must appoint a principal officer. Individual agents do not have one, because the licence is held by the person.
