Non-medical limit
Also called NML.
The most cover an insurer will issue on a declaration alone, without a medical examination.
Below the non-medical limit, an insurer will normally issue cover on the strength of your health declaration. Above it, a medical examination is arranged first.
Exceeding the limit does not reduce your cover and is not a rejection. The insurer arranges and pays for the tests, and the cover you asked for still stands — it simply means a person reviews the case.
